Antique Japonesque sterling silver and vermeil enamel strawberry spoon in Chrysanthemum pattern.

 

Tapering handle with round terminal and oval bowl.

Raised double-sided ornament comprising dense flower heads and leaves. Flowers heightened with white, purple, and green enamel on front.

 

In its original box with white silk interior and faux snake skin on the outside.

 

Made by Durgin in Concord, New Hampshire.

An early piece in this pattern, which was first produced in 1893. Hallmark (ca 1853-ca 1905).
