Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque relic Reliquary Devotional Pendant + wax seal

Devotional reliquary containing an important relic of:
Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque, identified by the handwritten label “Bᵉ M. M. Alacoque,” referring to her earlier title of Blessed. This oval devotional pendant presents a small mounted fragment against a rich blue textile ground, enclosed behind a transparent front. A delicate beaded border frames the silver-toned metal case, with a suspension loop and ring completing its restrained, elegant design. The use of “Blessed” is consistent with preparation between her beatification in 1864 and canonization in 1920, although the precise date remains unconfirmed.

A meaningful devotional object for a Christian home, prayer corner, or collection dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Reliquary guarantee
A red ecclesiastical-style wax seal with a heraldic impression is visible beneath the removable rear cover. It offers a tangible connection to the traditional sealing of devotional reliquaries. The photographs do not establish the issuing cleric, the security threads, or whether the contents have remained continuously sealed.

Biography:
Margaret Mary Alacoque (1647–1690) was a French Visitation nun at Paray-le-Monial. She reported visions of Christ revealing His Sacred Heart and encouraging loving devotion, Communion, and reparation. Her experiences helped spread this devotion throughout the Catholic world. She died on 17 October 1690; miracles attributed to her intercession contributed to her beatification and canonization.

Condition
Good overall visual condition, with age-related patina, light surface marks, and minor wear to the wax edges. The blue backing, handwritten identification, and decorative border retain an appealing devotional character.
