The XIX Century oval reliquary arranged in beautiful golden paperrolles with the sacred heart of Jesus painted at the center, framed in ebonized wood and sealed at the back with an episcopalian wax seal and threads. Contains 9 important Holy Relics:

This rare relic is almost never available and it is extremely difficult to come across:
The sacred relic of Saint George was one of the most famous of relics, after the True Cross and Holy Lance, and was the arm of the Saint George (d. 303), reputedly ordered killed by the Roman Emperor Diocletian for his failure to renounce his faith in Christ. George, a secondary patron saint of the First Crusade, played a significant role and provided other relics. On November 3/16, the Orthodox Church commemorates the translation of his relics from Rome to Lydda, his mother’s hometown.

Paperrolles
Paperrolls emerged as an art form in the 16th century, primarily in European convents. Nuns and nuns used this technique to create both simple and elaborate decorative works, often intended to adorn liturgical objects or reliquaries. The practice of quilling allowed the nuns to channel their creativity while respecting the standards of modesty and sobriety specific to their monastic life. These cloister artisans mastered the art of manipulating small strips of paper with meticulous precision, producing delicate patterns and remarkable artistic compositions. The use of quillwork in convents spread over time, becoming a valued activity within the religious community. Thus, the paperolles bear witness not only to a refined artistic expression, but also to the important role they played in the daily life of the convents.
On the back of the pendant is an intact wax seal with imprinted crest and threads running through it assuring the seal was not broken.
