19th Cent. Reliquary 1st Class St. Donato Relic + Wax seal

Reliquary from the 19th century containing a First-Class relic Ex Ossibus of Saint Donatus, Martyr. This devotional object houses a fragment of the saint’s bone, displayed beneath glass within an elegant silver-plated metal frame.
The reverse of the reliquary preserves its original red wax episcopal seal and intertwined silk threads, ensuring the authenticity of its ecclesiastical certification. These elements remain intact, confirming the relic’s original and well-preserved condition.
Saint Donatus, venerated as a martyr for the Christian faith, is honored for his steadfast courage and devotion in the face of persecution. Relics Ex Ossibus dedicated to him were cherished throughout the Catholic world as tangible signs of divine grace and protection, inspiring the faithful to perseverance and holiness.
