19th Cent Reliquary 1st Class Relic St. Vicenct Paul + Wax Seal
Late 19th-century French reliquary crafted in brass, containing a First-Class relic of Saint Vincent de Paul, the renowned priest and founder dedicated to charity and the service of the poor. The sacred relic is carefully displayed beneath glass and arranged according to traditional ecclesiastical practice, reflecting the devotional refinement of the period.
At the back of the reliquary, we find an episcopalian wax seal holding the threads together and guaranteeing the authenticity of the holy relic. These elements remain intact, attesting to its ecclesiastical provenance and preserved condition. The reverse also features a devotional representation of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, reinforcing the object’s spiritual significance within 19th-century French Catholic piety.
This reliquary stands as a meaningful expression of faith and charity, uniting the veneration of a great apostle of mercy with one of the most important devotions of modern Catholic spirituality.
